Update on the new logo

We decided to finally register Trademark, so did a bit of updating on the logo & here it is....

Changes was made to the 'O' which included 4 red & white stripes, to represent the 4 important people in my life & colours from both flags of Malaysia & England.

Jozie's Clotted Cream in a jar

After months of R&D with love & passion, we've finally got it in a glass jar.

For now it's 200g, but I'm sure we will have many other sizes to suit our customers needs.

So let's start with this 200g.  Shelf life is longer, estimated around 3 months, provided it is kept chilled & never ever freeze it.

As with similar dairy produce, once open, it must be consumed within 5 days.

Good thing about this bottle version, we should be able to cater to outstation customers.

Once my shopee shop is ready, will provide a link for those intending to try it out. For now, just Whatsapp me.

Have a gr8 day!

Jozie's - The new name

I am happy to announce the new name for MY Devonshire Homemade Clotted Cream to a name that truly reflects on the history & tradition of this fine product.

My mum, Josephine who comes from Amersham, London, was called Josie (pronounced as Jozie) by her parents since 1957.  She had fond memories of having tea in Devon with granny & grandad which included home baked scones, Devon-shire clotted cream & strawberry jam.

Jozie's Homemade Clotted Cream is dedicated to that memory.  (Love you Mama!!)

I'm also happy to share that Jozie's is now available in TIPSY BREW O' COFFEE @ Setiawalk Puchong as part of their afternoon tea set.

I will update when more cafes start to serve Jozie's.

Ta!!

Toasted Fluffy 'Benggali' Bread with Condense Milk & Clotted Cream

Here's a suggestion on how you can enjoy your clotted cream. After visiting Papa Rich recently, I rediscovered the joy of eating Condense Milk on Toasted Roti 'Benggali' (I hope I got the spelling right). Anyway, after making a few slices at home for my family, I tried substituting butter with my homemade clotted cream and the result.............Muah!! Outstanding!! Oh boy, of to the gym i go.....

About 'MY Devonshire Clotted Cream'

Devonshire (or Devon) Cream is a clotted cream produced commercially in Devon Cornwall and Somerset England. It is a thick, rich, yellowish cream with a scalded or cooked flavor that is made by heating unpasteurized milk until a thick layer of cream forms on its surface. The milk is then cooled and the layer of cream is skimmed off. Clotted cream has 55-60 percent fat content and is so thick it does not need to be whipped.

Now you don’t have to go all the way to England to get a taste of this creamy delight. Neither do you have to put up with the ‘whipping cream’ (the foamy spray can type) which is normally given here in Malaysia to accompany your precious scones.

After years of frustration looking for the prefect clotted cream to go with my scones (Cameron Highlands, Frasers Hill, you name it), I began to look at how I could make my own homemade ‘Devonshire-like’ Clotted Cream. After painstaking trial & error, which resulted in me gaining a few more inches around the waist, I finally came up with what my mother, who is English, would say, 90% close to the real thing.

So, I call it MY ‘Devonshire’ Clotted Cream. MY has a double meaning which is obviously MY as in – my recipe and MY as in – Malaysia, as it is made here in my home in Sg Buloh Country Resort.

So, try MY ‘Devonshire’ Clotted Cream today & if you don’t think it taste that great, I’ll return your money immediately. No questions ask!

p.s.

What about the scones & strawberry jam?

If you have these questions, let me tell you that scones & strawberry jam are readily available. For strawberry jam, I would recommend you pay a bit more for the real thing. The good ones are brands like, Hero, Steffi’s Choice, Chivers to name a few. If you visit Cameron Highlands, buy a jar or two and take back home with you.

As for scones, you can either make your own (http://www.joyofbaking.com/SconesIntroduction.html), or buy ready made ones from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I prefer theirs to the other famous cafes.
